POSITION: Head of Marketing

Job Description

As we expand rapidly, we are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Marketing to oversee our marketing operations and drive the company’s market presence.

Position Overview

The Head of Marketing will be in charge of developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to support DGL’s growth. This position demands high-level strategic planning, brand management leadership, and oversight of both digital and offline marketing operations. You will also drive product marketing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, procurement, and operations to ensure that marketing campaigns are consistent and impactful, resulting in a direct revenue increase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies: Develop and implement DGL’s comprehensive marketing strategy to increase growth and brand awareness.
  • Brand Leadership: Manage and strengthen DGL’s brand identity across all channels, ensuring consistent messaging, visual style, and tone.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage the marketing team, fostering an environment of innovation, cooperation, and continual development.
  • Product Marketing and Campaigns: Develop go-to-market strategy for new products, including positioning, marketing, and campaign execution, to guarantee a successful launch.
  • Digital Marketing with Social Media: Manage digital marketing initiatives, such as social media, email marketing, and website administration, to ensure optimal engagement and brand visibility.
  • Customer insight and market research: Use market data and customer feedback to improve marketing tactics, predict trends, and meet customer wants.
  • Partnership and Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales teams, partners, and external stakeholders to improve marketing campaigns by increasing lead generation, conversions, and customer satisfaction.
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) Implementation: Implement and manage an NPS system to measure customer satisfaction and increase brand loyalty and retention.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are distributed properly to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Public Relations and Communication: Develop and manage partnerships with media outlets, agencies, and industry organizations to increase positive brand exposure and thought leadership.
  • Sustainability Focus: Promote DGL’s commitment to sustainability and establish the company as a pioneer in supporting sustainable agriculture techniques in Ghana.

Required Skill or Experience

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related subject is required (a master’s degree is preferable).
  • Proven marketing leadership expertise, including strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing, social media management, and CRM applications.
  • Experience in the agriculture sector is advantageous, but not required.

Skills or Experience:

  • You have 8–10 years of marketing experience, including at least three years in a senior position, especially in the agriculture, FMCG, or B2B sectors.
  • You have a track record of successfully developing and implementing marketing strategies that generate business growth and improve brand equity.

Leadership and Communication:

  • You have excellent leadership abilities and can motivate, guide, and mentor teams.
  • Your communication abilities allow you to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, converting complex strategies into actionable goals.

Strategic vision and creativity:

  • You bring both strategic vision and creativity to the role, capable of devising long-term strategies and pushing new campaign concepts.

Data-Driven Decision-Making:

  • You are skilled at leveraging data to make informed marketing decisions and are conversant with analytics tools, CRM systems, and customer feedback methods such as NPS.

Adaptability and Initiative:

  • You thrive in fast-paced workplaces, responding to shifting market conditions and client demands.
  • You are proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of managing many projects concurrently.
