Job Description

Blue Financial Services Ghana Limited, an established banking institution regulated by the Bank of Ghana, seeks an experienced IT Systems & Support Specialist to strengthen our technology infrastructure. This critical role offers the opportunity to maintain robust IT systems while supporting our fourteen-year legacy of consumer credit and fixed deposit services across Ghana.

Role Overview

As an IT Systems & Support Specialist, you will ensure optimal performance of hardware, software, and network systems while providing comprehensive technical support. You will develop business applications, implement security protocols, and maintain network infrastructure to support continuous banking operations. This position demands both technical expertise and strategic thinking within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Development & Maintenance

Design, develop, and maintain business applications and corporate websites
Collaborate with software developers to integrate and deploy new programs
Test and evaluate new software and hardware solutions
Document IT systems, configurations, and operational procedures

Network Infrastructure & Security

Manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
Implement robust security protocols and threat mitigation strategies
Maintain access controls, backup systems, and firewall configurations
Monitor network performance and ensure system reliability

User Support & Technical Operations

Provide prompt technical support through help desk services
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software
Set up and activate user accounts for new team members
Maintain Windows-based desktops and server platforms

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Degree in Information Technology, Business Systems Engineering, or related field
Network+ and/or MCITP/MCSA certifications
Minimum 5 years of IT support or systems administration experience
Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or C#)
Knowledge of MS Office support and Windows server platforms

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Customer-focused approach to technical support
Ability to perform effectively under pressure
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Technical Expertise

Experience with network infrastructure management
Knowledge of IT security protocols and implementation
