Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, assets, confidential or proprietary information in a cost effective manner
- Providing protection for personnel and company property through the management of security protocols
- Developing, implementing and maintaining security policies to meet required codes and regulations
- Utilizing a strong knowledge of access control systems, CCTV equipment and investigations
- Managing the performance of contract security personnel
- Acting as a liaison with local law enforcement agencies
- Providing security education and awareness activities
- Preparing and maintaining all required security and documentation
- Coordinating and administering security clearances and other security policies and procedures
- Prepare and manage budgets and expenditure for security operations and monitor expenses
- Must have a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety
- CCTV security surveillance device configuration management
- In depth CCTV knowledge and of security procedures
- Recruit, train and supervise security officers and guards
Qualifications
- Diploma or further education in security administration or similar field
- Security certification, training and licensing
- Six years proven experience as a Security Manager or similar
- Previous experience as a Security Manager is a must
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to use relevant technology and equipment
- Strong communication, management and organizational skills
- Must have experience in reporting and emergency response planning
