Job Description
West African Hardware & Décor Ltd is looking for an experienced and highly driven Human Resources Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Improves the organization’s human resources by developing, implementing, and evaluating employee relations policies, initiatives, and procedures.
- Maintains work organization by updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
- Establishes a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counsels managers on applicant selection; conducts and analyzes exit interviews; and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Establishes and implements orientation and training programs to prepare staff for new responsibilities.
- Manages a pay plan by performing periodic pay surveys, scheduling and conducting job assessments, creating pay budgets, monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions, and suggesting, planning, and implementing pay structure changes.
- Ensures the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of employee work results by teaching managers to coach and discipline employees, organizing management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances, and advising employees and supervisors.
- Implements and informs employees about employee benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing benefit claim processing; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting benefit program educational programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and executing applicable federal and state human resource regulations, conducting investigations, keeping records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Enforces management principles by creating, revising, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains historical human resource records by creating a filing and retrieval system and storing both past and current records.
Required Skill or Experience
- A B.Sc. in Human Resources is required, as well as a Master’s degree (with at least three years of post-completion experience) in a comparable discipline.
- A minimum of 2–3 years experience in a similar subject.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of human resource techniques and employment laws.
- Between 30 and 45 years.
- Male
