Job Title: Full Stack Software Developer

The Opportunity

We are hiring a highly skilled and versatile Full Stack Software Developer. This role demands strong expertise across the entire development lifecycle—from backend and frontend engineering to mobile development, DevOps, and cloud deployment. You will work with a modern stack including Laravel, React.js, and Flutter to build, deploy, and maintain scalable applications. This is a key role for a developer who thrives on ownership and technical breadth.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the end-to-end development and operational integrity of our digital products. Your core duties will include:

First, you will design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Laravel for the backend and React.js for the frontend.
You will also develop and manage cross-platform mobile applications using the Flutter framework.
A primary responsibility involves designing and administering MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity.
Furthermore, you will deploy and manage applications on Linux-based VPS environments, configuring and troubleshooting LAMP/LEMP stacks.
You will implement DevOps practices, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, working with containerization tools like Docker, and managing cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and other engineers to implement effective, user-centric solutions.
You will maintain stringent code quality, security protocols, and comprehensive project documentation.
Finally, you will monitor, optimize, and ensure the high availability of all systems under your care.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded engineer with proven full-stack experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
A minimum of three years of hands-on, professional full-stack development experience.
Strong proficiency in Laravel (PHP), React.js, Flutter, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Solid experience with DevOps tools, Linux server administration, and VPS deployment.
A good understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth, and modern authentication methods.
Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD workflows, and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Preferred Experience (Added Advantage)

Experience integrating third-party services like payment gateways, SMS, or USSD.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
Familiarity with Microservices Architecture and serverless deployment models.
