Position Summary

We are offering an engaging summer Internship Programme lasting ten weeks with our Anglophone West Africa country teams (The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone), starting in June 2025, for outstanding candidates who are enthusiastic about politics and eager to drive change by collaborating with governments.

Our Internship Programme will offer you a variety of experiences, collaborating with peers both locally and internationally. You will gain the advantage of engaging in a cutting-edge program as part of our expanding project portfolio and business development endeavours.

Throughout the Internship Programme, you will assist with particular projects that aid political leaders at every level, where we provide guidance, contribute to significant change, benefit from mentorship by colleagues, and gain a comprehensive insight into life at TBI. Regardless of whether our colleagues spend a few years at TBI or a significant portion of their careers developing and advancing within the Institute, their experiences enable them to create a substantial global influence.

The salary for this position is attractive.

Primary Duties

Our Internship Program will offer you the chance to participate in some or all of the following:

  • Create research, analysis, written reports, and other outputs for clients and national leadership.
  • Assist initiatives or growth prospects as TBI counsels political figures on strategy, policy, and execution using technology as the driving force across all three areas.
  • Assist in achieving significant project outcomes by enabling agile performance monitoring and coordination as needed.
  • Utilize and gain insights from novel and creative methods to facilitate change and create a difference.
  • Assist in creating strategies, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Assist project teams in creating reports, presentations, and other pertinent documents.

Person Specification

  • We encourage applications from individuals in their second or third year of an undergraduate degree program.
  • We seek individuals who drive change and possess:
  • A fervor for management, corporate strategy, and keen political insight.
  • A relentless eagerness for information
  • A strong passion for producing unique perspectives and conducting thorough analysis.
  • Experience of being a self-motivated entrepreneur
  • Demonstrated skill in performing high-quality desk research.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Extremely structured with the capability to juggle multiple tasks and operate autonomously.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You ought to feel at ease when conducting difficult analyses and structured problem-solving.
  • It is crucial that you maintain a proactive and engaged approach, willing to get your hands dirty to accomplish tasks and take responsibility for your work.
  • You must be a legal resident with the right to work in Ghana and anticipate covering any lodging or boarding expenses.
