POSITION: Territory Sales Manager

Key Purpose Statement
To achieve growth in volume and revenue by efficiently overseeing the Sales & Marketing team, executing business plans, and providing exceptional Customer Service.
The main objective of the position is to;
- Assist the Company Sales Representatives concerning delivery, implementation, and evaluation of performance in line with the business plans.
- Assist sales regions in enhancing their ability to clearly comprehend the channel strategy and execution standards by conducting regular trade visits, engaging in one-on-one discussions with customers, and identifying their needs.
- Assist the Sales representatives in guiding the sales team and regions.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Make sure that every promotion is carried out.
- Essential Project Management: Recognize Important Commercial Process Enhancement Initiatives
- Demand Forecasting: Contribute to the Demand Forecasting Process
- Oversee the Execution of Marketing Strategy
- Oversee the overall performance of the GT Sales Team, including the main functions of selling, merchandising, Account Development, and related processes.
- Execute sales initiatives throughout all GT channels.
- Conducts quarterly (or as per agreement) business evaluations for the customer.
- Participates in regular trade visits to client locations with appropriate regional staff.
- Comprehend the pack margin and pack function for each customer to enhance revenue growth.
- Employ market research and analysis tools like Nielsen and loyalty data to develop programs and provide feedback to customers.
- Create, execute, and/or oversee account-specific programs, promotions, and packages as needed and assess their effectiveness.
- Establishes a personal connection with the customer through different engagements like charity sports events, attending customer conferences, participating in corporate golf days, and hosting at both local and international conferences and sporting events.
- Growth in Sales and Marketing collaboration
- Oversees and evaluates daily sales objectives and implements corrective measures.
- Distributes execution resources (e.g. POS / coolers / promotional items etc) for optimum yield.
- Recognizes competitor actions and creates and executes response strategies.
- Promotions – guarantees that local and national promotions are executed efficiently.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Evaluation and selection processes
- Must possess quick thinking skills and have rapid resolution times of 24 to 48 hours.
- Should be organized and capable of planning quarterly ahead to achieve the yearly objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
- 3-year Sales/Marketing or comparable Diploma/Degree
- Sales and marketing qualification after matric.
Experience:
- Preferably, at least 5 years of prior sales experience or comparable FMCG experience.
