Afrotropic Cocoa Processing Company is recruiting a qualified and vigilant Security Supervisor. This role is critical for safeguarding our premises, assets, and personnel. The successful candidate will enforce security protocols, manage access control, and ensure a secure operational environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive security oversight across several key areas.

Managing Access for Employees, Visitors, and Contractors

Verify that all individuals entering the premises possess a valid ID card and a genuine reason for their visit.
Visually inspect IDs to confirm the holder’s identity matches the card details.
Log accurate data for every visitor in the official visitor register.
Conduct vehicle searches and spot checks on bags or briefcases as necessary to prevent unauthorized removal of company property.
Perform random alcohol tests on employees when required.
Report any violations of company policy to management for further investigation.

Overseeing Delivery and Material Movement

Inspect all delivery waybills thoroughly.
Retain any incoming or outgoing documents or materials that pose a potential security risk for proper investigation.

CCTV Monitoring and Surveillance

Monitor all installed CCTV cameras around and within the factory continuously.
Conduct random checks with the IT department in critical food safety areas such as packaging and bagging sections.
Immediately alert the Administrator upon noticing any threat and initiate the panic alarm if necessary.
Report any issue that could threaten food safety, quality, authenticity, or legality to the Administrator or Quality Manager.

General Security Leadership

Ensure all team members fully understand their job descriptions and standard operating instructions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria
Possess an SSSCE/WASSCE certificate or equivalent with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar security role.
Alternatively, hold a Diploma in Security Management plus two or more years of relevant supervisory experience.
Additionally, candidates should have a technical background in emergency response procedures and security technology, including CCTV systems.

Essential Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mix of practical and interpersonal skills.

Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Possess strong problem solving and risk assessment skills.
Show effective team management and leadership capabilities.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail.
Have excellent report writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
