Job Description
JMA Engineering Ltd is a specialist Site Engineering and Surveying company based in London that works all over the UK. They are looking to hire Survey Technicians with the right qualifications and experience
Tasks will include:
- Surveying land and engineering
- Surveys of the Land
- Setting out for different kinds of work, such as highways, railways, district heating, RC frames, etc. QA checks and keeps track of “as-built” records for the above.
- Most design information will be in digital form, so it is important to be able to move information from CAD drawings to a Total Station.
- Checking technical designs and drawings to make sure they are followed correctly
- Giving technical advice and fixing problems on the spot
Skills or Experience Needed
The candidate will be able to work both alone and with a group. You will be self-driven and motivated to meet weekly goals. You should know how to use a robotic total station (preferably a Leica or Trimble), survey processing software, and AutoCAD well enough to do the job.
- You should have at least three years of experience setting up and doing surveys on site, as well as processing surveys to make sure they agree with our clients.
- You’ll be in charge of coordinating and keeping an eye on complaint testing on sites.
- The person applying should also be ready to move to the UK.
