A reputable company in Takoradi that provides Oil & Gas services is looking for a qualified person to work for the Project Department as an OFFSHORE SUPERVISOR.


  • The OFFSHORE SUPERVISOR is in charge of making sure offshore projects are planned, carried out, and followed up on.
  • Activities that have to do with the building. Follow up on the activities of the offshore construction, such as packing, loading, and sea-
  • As needed, fastening and pre-commissioning.
  • Be the point of contact for contractors and subcontractors working off-shore to make sure they are making progress.
  • Give weekly updates on the construction work being done offshore. Take part in risk analysis as needed to make sure the work gets done well.
  • Help the Engineering Team check the design for the offshore parts and make sure that it meets all of the technical requirements before sending it to the Construction Contractor.
  • Help the QA leader if needed to make sure the fabrication is of the right quality and can be tracked.
  • Lead required offshore Technical Meetings with Contractors and Subcontractors once a week and once a month.
  • Talk to the people onshore to make sure that the project documentation is filed and easy to find.
  • Make sure that the offshore tracking and reporting of costs and schedules meet the needs of the project.
  • Make sure that all the construction and pre-commissioning tasks are done so that the handover to the commissioning team goes smoothly.
  • Be trained and teach new hires how to improve their skills.

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements for Getting a Job

  • Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical, Piping, Structural, or Electrical & Instrumentation.
  • At least ten (10) years of proven work experience in the oil and gas, mining, or offshore industries.
  • Fluent in English (the French language is an advantage).
  • Must have a strong technical background, as well as an understanding of and experience with offshore work.
  • The person applying should know a lot about making metal structures, working on boilers, and putting together pipes.
  • Welding symbols, isometric and mechanical drawing conventions, computer-aided drawings and design techniques, budget project management, risk management, and negotiating.
