A developing haulage company in the Tema Heavy Industrial Area is looking for an effective Human Resources/Administrative Officer.
Responsibilities
Some of the core roles include:
- Manage the day-to-day coordination and implementation of the company’s policies, particularly its transportation operations.
- Monitor and manage operational activities.
- Maintain and update employee records and human resource databases.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, which includes job advertisements, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefit management.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation initiatives.
- Handle employee inquiries and give HR support.
- Maintain compliance with labour laws and company regulations.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate employee training and development efforts.
- Manage the staff performance appraisal processes.
- Support efforts to improve staff relations and resolve conflicts.
- Prepare human resource reports and presentations for management.
- Assist with HR audits and compliance checks.
- Coordinate staff engagement and recognition initiatives.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
- Support HR programs and activities as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Applicants must be between 28 and 45 years old, hold a degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or a related course from a recognized tertiary institution, and have worked for at least 5 years. Applicants residing in Tema or surrounding areas will have an advantage.
Location: Tema.
