Position Title: Bus Driver
Job Purpose
To make sure that staff and passengers get from one place to another safely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Get both people and things to where they need to go.
- Plan out your driving routes ahead of time to figure out the best plan.
- Schedule regular maintenance for the vehicles and tell the Transport Manager about any problems. Clean the cars when needed.
- Hire a car wash service to keep the inside and outside of the work vehicle clean.
- Use guidance apps to figure out the best way to get there.
- Talk to clients in a professional way at all times.
- Make sure the car is always full of gas and ready to go.
- Write down all trips and keep up-to-date records of mileage and repairs.
- Follow all rules of the road.
Needed Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a bus driver.
- A valid driver’s license with a grade of C or better.
- A clean record as a driver.
- Knowing how to use a GPS device
- Know the roads and neighborhoods in the area.
- Be willing to work some weekend and night jobs.
- A professional and polite personality
- The ability to stay calm in stressed driving situations (like rush hour)
- The ability to read and write
