POSITION: Pre-School and Nursery Teacher

Little Learners Nursery and Preschool is seeking a passionate and qualified Pre School/Nursery Teacher to join our dedicated early years team. This role involves planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that nurture children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth. Our curriculum aligns with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards, providing a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and thrive.

Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate lessons and activities for nursery and preschool learners.
Utilize phonics-based approaches, including Jolly Phonics, to effectively support early literacy development.
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration.
Prepare high-quality teaching and learning materials and display children’s work attractively to celebrate achievement.
Observe, assess, and accurately record each child’s progress and developmental milestones.
Support children with diverse learning needs and abilities through differentiated instruction and care.
Maintain positive classroom behaviour using proven, age appropriate management strategies.
Communicate effectively and regularly with parents and carers regarding their child’s development and daily experiences.
Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
Collaborate closely with colleagues to support and uphold the school’s overall vision and educational ethos.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a recognized Montessori Certificate.

Have at least one to three years of hands on teaching experience within a nursery or preschool setting.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of the British EYFS framework and early childhood curriculum principles.
Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
Possess the ability to plan and execute creative, engaging, and developmentally sound lessons.
Creative art or craft skills are a valuable added advantage for this role.
Show a patient, caring, and consistently child centred attitude in all interactions.
