POSITION: Driver-Mechanic

Institution Overview 

Happy Heart (Montessori) School (HHS) is a respected private establishment in Dome Pillar 2 that offers outstanding basic education, caregiving, and training for preschoolers and young individuals.

Position Overview 

HHS is looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven, and highly motivated young individual aged 25 to 30 for the position of DRIVER-MECHANIC to manage the school’s vehicle. The Driver-Mechanic reports directly to the Director of School Operations and ultimately to the CEO. It is advised that the applicant resides in Dome, Kwabenya, Haatso, or nearby areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Convey students to and from school every day.
• Perform fundamental administrative tasks in the school and carry out errands as assigned.
• Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness at all times.
• Keep a record of vehicle logs
• Obtain approval for regular maintenance or repairs of the vehicle.

Necessary Qualifications or Background

Requirements/Experience Applicants pursuing this role must:

• Possess a qualification from Junior High School or Senior High School.
• Possess a driver’s license B or higher and have experience driving a bus in Accra and on highways.
• Possess a minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a mechanic-driver.
• Identify when a vehicle is underperforming and suggest maintenance.
