Job Title: Sales Manager

FKM Global operates in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Consequently, they need a dynamic, results-obsessed Sales Manager to take the wheel. This is not a remote, hands-off role. Instead, it is an on-the-ground leadership position based in Accra where you will build, train, and drive a sales team to smash every target in sight.

Key Responsibilities
Here is exactly what you will own:
- Craft the Strategy: You will develop and execute comprehensive sales plans. Consequently, you will identify new market opportunities and growth areas that align with company revenue targets.
- Lead the Team: You will recruit, hire, and onboard new sales representatives. Then, you will motivate, mentor, and coach them daily. When performance issues arise, you will address them directly.
- Set the Goals: You will establish individual and team sales quotas, goals, and KPIs. Then, you will monitor progress through regular forecasting and pipeline reviews.
- Manage the Pipeline: You will oversee deal velocity and opportunity qualification. You will ensure a healthy revenue flow with accurate forecasting at every stage.
- Analyze the Data: You will dive into sales data, reports, and market trends. Consequently, you will identify areas for improvement, adjust tactics on the fly, and inform upper management with clarity.
- Build Key Relationships: You will nurture relationships with key clients. When major deals hang in the balance, you will step in. When complex customer issues arise, you will act as the escalation point.
- Collaborate Across Teams: You will align efforts with marketing, product, and customer success. Cross-functional initiatives will thrive under your coordination.
- Implement Best Practices: You will roll out sales processes, tools like CRM systems, and methodologies that increase efficiency and scalability.
- Prepare the Numbers: You will prepare budgets, sales reports, and presentations for senior leadership. Your insights will drive decisions.
- Stay Ahead: You will stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging sales methodologies. You will never stop learning.
Skills and Experience
FKM Global needs a leader who combines battle-tested sales experience with the heart of a coach. You must have done it yourself before you can teach others.
Your Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA gives you a significant edge.
- Experience: You bring 4 to 8+ years of progressive sales experience. Crucially, at least 2 to 4 of those years involve sales leadership or management. You have led teams and you have the battle scars to prove it.
- Track Record: You have a proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, both as an individual contributor and as a team leader.
- Coaching Skills: You have strong experience in team recruitment, coaching, performance management, and development. You build people up.
- Tech Proficiency: You are proficient with sales tools and technologies. CRM platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot are second nature. You also navigate sales analytics and forecasting tools with ease.
- Communication: You possess excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You can sell in a boardroom or on a factory floor.
- Data-Driven: You have a strong analytical mindset. You interpret metrics and let data drive your decisions.
- Mobility: You are able and willing to travel as needed for client meetings, team events, or industry conferences.
Preferred Skills That Set You Apart:
- Industry Experience: Background in SaaS/tech, B2B services, retail, or manufacturing gives you a head start.
- Modern Methodologies: Knowledge of modern sales frameworks like Challenger Sale, MEDDIC, or value-based selling.
- Certifications: Leadership certifications or formal sales training credentials.
- Thrive Under Pressure: You excel in fast-paced, target-driven environments. Pressure does not break you; it fuels you.
