At Apex Shipping & Commercial Company Limited, there is a day job (ASCO). The company is looking for an experienced Commodities buyer to help build up our Commodities Trading desk.

Overview of the Role

The main job of this role is to find places to buy things like cashews, sesame, yellow maize, and other seasonal crops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prospect research and making leads.
• You can call, email, or meet with customers you already have and people who might want to buy from you.
• Handle customer questions, inquiries, and complaints.
• Make quotes and proposals and send them out.
• Make and keep a list of customers.
• Meet sales goals every day, every week, and every month.
• Take part in meetings of the sales team.
• Prepare sales reports to Supervisor

Important Skills:

• Being able to pick out good crops
• Strong verbal and written communicator with good customer service and sales skills.
• Excellent skills with the phone and giving speeches
• Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Independent person with focus and drive

Qualifications and experience that are preferred:

• There’s no need for a college degree
• Known as a successful trader of commodities.
• At least three years of relevant, proven sales management experience
