- POSITION: Finance and Administrative Manager
- Location: East Legon
- Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Role Overview:
A well-regarded hospital is in search of a motivated, skilled, and meticulous Finance and Administrative Officer to oversee its Finance and Administration operations. The perfect candidate must possess excellent leadership abilities, a strong foundation in finance and accounting, and a practical approach to administrative and operational support.
Primary Duties:
Finance & Accounting Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial activities of the hospital.
- Compile weekly and monthly financial statements and management accounts for informed decision-making.
- Create and oversee hospital budgets, projections, and expenditure management systems.
- Guarantee prompt and precise preparation and delivery of payroll.
- Direct and manage statutory and internal audits.
- Keep accurate accounting records current and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with banks, insurance companies, and external auditors.
- Facilitate prompt billing, claims filing, accounts receivable monitoring, and reconciliations with NHIS/private insurance companies.
- Track expenses and spot discrepancies from the budget, offering analysis and suggestions.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the effectiveness of the finance and administrative team.
- Make sure to adhere to the hospital’s systems for procurement and asset management.
- Manage employee records, vacation schedules, and agreements in partnership with HR.
- Guarantee seamless daily operations encompassing logistics, upkeep, and inventory management.
- Guide the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies.
- Ensure adherence to health and labour regulations as well as institutional standards.
Qualifications and Specifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline (preferably with ACCA, CA, or CIMA certification).
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and administration, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Skilled in accounting applications (QuickBooks, Tally, etc.), MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Deep knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations, SSNIT, and legal adherence.
- Capability to guide a team, handle multiple tasks under stress, and convey information clearly.
- Strong commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and meticulousness.
