Role Overview

As a National Service Personnel member specializing in Health & Safety, you will support the implementation of safety protocols across our offices, fleet operations, and project sites. You will assist with risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations while promoting our commitment to zero workplace injuries. This position represents an excellent opportunity to develop practical safety management skills within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

Assist in implementing company health and safety policies and procedures
Support regular safety inspections of offices, workshops, and project sites
Help maintain compliance with local safety regulations and standards
Monitor and distribute Personal Protective Equipment to employees

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate health and safety records and inspection reports
Support incident investigations and prepare detailed documentation
Update safety logs, training records, and compliance documentation
Prepare safety bulletins, posters, and awareness materials

Training & Awareness Promotion

Assist in delivering basic safety induction sessions for new employees
Promote safety awareness through organized campaigns and communications
Support safety training coordination and participant tracking
Contribute to safety meeting preparations and follow-up actions

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
Eligibility for National Service placement in the 2025/2026 service year
Strong interest in developing a health and safety management career
Excellent observation and communication capabilities
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Safety-related volunteer experience or academic projects
Understanding of Ghana’s occupational safety regulations
Ability to work effectively within team environments
Strong ethical standards and commitment to safety
