Job Summary

The Retail Programs Manager is essential for helping retail operations succeed by managing projects across different countries. This person keeps track of the Retail Operations program and works closely with teams in each country to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget. They also help identify and address any risks that may come up.

The manager serves as a link between the Strategy Transformation team and country retail teams, ensuring data and updates are shared effectively. They develop programs that improve value for dealers and customers while making sure these programs are effective and meet Puma Energy’s core values.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Programs:

Plan, develop, and manage the retail network strategy in line with business goals.
Evaluate and oversee all retail projects.
Review profit and loss statements for retail stations and provide feedback.

Training:

Identify training needs and be the main contact for retail training.

Customer Research:

Analyze customer behaviour to improve marketing strategies.

Project Management:

Ensure all leases and contracts for retail sites are valid and documented.
Work with construction and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time.

Convenience Retail:

Be the expert for the Convenience Retail Strategy.
Manage contracts and income from the non-fuel retail business.
Develop business cases for capital investments and dispose of plans in a timely manner.

Marketing and Promotions:

Support the Regional Marketing team in creating and executing the Retail Marketing Plan while collaborating with various teams.

Compliance:

Ensure retail sites have all necessary licenses and permits.
Work with the Compliance team to meet health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

Help the retail department find new network sites and renew agreements.
Ensure that objectives for real estate and community programs are met.
Manage the full process of acquiring land, new builds, and refurbishments to follow company policies.
Track project progress closely and meet regularly with relevant teams to resolve any issues.

Requirements:

Education: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a similar field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in retail management, with a preference for experience in the fuel industry and project management.

Skills:

Proficiency in English and the local language.
Strong commercial and financial understanding.
High proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
Ability to innovate and organize effectively.
Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Clarity in communication with others, both in writing and speaking.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain relationships.
Results-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and adapting to change.

Key Relationships:

Internal: Retail teams, Territory Managers, Country Management, Marketing, and Operations Teams.
External: Government agencies, local councils, property developers, retail partners, suppliers, and local communities.
