POSITION: Class Teacher

Job Description

Oakbridge International School, located at the Kingsby Roundabout in New Achimota, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Class Teacher. We are seeking a passionate educator with a strong background in English, French, the Arts, and Humanities to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction aligned with the British National Curriculum, specifically the PEARSON EDEXCEL framework, fostering a dynamic and positive learning environment for primary students.

Job Summary and Core Responsibilities

You will play a central role in shaping young minds and delivering a comprehensive educational experience.
Develop detailed schemes of work and exciting lesson plans that meet all British National curriculum objectives.
Facilitate effective learning by building strong relationships with pupils, organizing resources efficiently, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
Foster the appropriate social and cognitive skills to enable the holistic development of each child according to their age, ability, and aptitude.
Assess and accurately record student progress while preparing pupils effectively for national tests.
Connect new knowledge to prior learning, employing strategies that challenge and inspire students to deepen their understanding.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Education. Motivated fresh graduates are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Have at least one to three years of direct teaching experience.
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Possess practical knowledge and experience with the British National Curriculum (PEARSON EDEXCEL).

Note: Candidates should reside within Achimota or its immediate surrounding environs for convenience.
