Israel Set to Launch Exclusive E-Visa Program for Indian Visitors in 2024
With the anticipated debut of a groundbreaking e-visa program later this year, Israel is courting Indian travelers. This action is intended to facilitate and increase Indian passengers’ access to Israel, in conjunction with improved aircraft connections and marketing initiatives.
Good news for travelers from India! Israel is welcoming visitors from India with open arms and is preparing to launch the nation’s first e-visa scheme later this year. The goal of this action is to greatly increase the number of visitors from the second-most populous country in the world.
E-visas for a Streamlined Entry Process
Israel does not yet grant e-visas to citizens of any nation. Nonetheless, Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing at the India-Israel Ministry of Tourism, disclosed intentions to launch a test program tailored exclusively for Indian tourists. Bangera declared, “We are going to develop an e-visa program.” “We should have an e-visa pilot program operating for Indians by the end of the year, though it’s still in its early stages.”
India: One of Israel’s Top Travel Destinations
This program demonstrates how crucial the Indian tourist sector is to Israel. Bangera clarified, “We are currently processing e-visas for India as the first country.” “This e-visa program is designed to make it easier for Indian tourists to visit Israel. We see huge potential in the Indian outbound travel market.”
Improving Safety and Connectivity
Israel is in talks to expand flight capacity with IndiGo and Air India to further promote tourism. According to Bangera, “We are making every effort to reassure visitors that visiting Israel is safe.” “Air India is considering adding routes from Mumbai in addition to Delhi and has increased its operations from three to four flights per day.”

- Work Visa (B1 Visa): For individuals who have been extended an employment offer in Israel. The Ministry of Interior must first grant this visa.
- Similar to the tourist visa, the business visa is only meant for visitors to Israel who are there on business.
- Visa for Pilgrimage: Those coming to Israel on religious pilgrimages are eligible for this particular visa.
- Travelers must apply for any of these visas at the Israeli consulate and provide the required paperwork and payment to be considered for the visa.
