Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this transformative fellowship, you need to:
- Be a citizen of Zambia and presently living in the nation.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree with Merit or above from an accredited institution.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of significant related work experience.
- Do not currently possess a master’s degree or above.
- Apply for a new master’s program starting in August or September 2025.
- Be actively working for one of the recognized eligible government or civil society organizations.
- Select three pertinent courses.
- Show a solid dedication to the developmental objectives of Zambia.
- Adhere to the procedural guidelines set by the Government of Zambia.
- Fulfill the English language competence criteria needed by Irish universities (typically through IELTS).
- Applicants should not have submitted more than one application for an Ireland Fellowship previously.
Qualified Institutions
Government Institutions:
Zambia Development Agency, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture, ZAMSTATS, Anti-Corruption Commission, Smart Zambia Institute, Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), among others.
Non-Governmental Actors:
Law Association of Zambia, civil society, non-governmental organizations, and entities focused on human rights, climate justice, disability, gender equality, and corporate social responsibility.
