Eligibility Requirements for the FAO Internship Program 2025:

  • Applicants must be students currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program, or recent graduates, at the time of application.
  • Candidates are required to possess proficiency in at least one official language of the FAO (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian). Proficiency in a second FAO official language will be seen as advantageous.
  • Candidates must be aged 21 to 30 at the commencement of their internship (i.e., the internship must begin prior to the candidate reaching 31 years of age).
  • Applicants must possess the requisite resident or immigration status in the place of assignment before commencing the internship.
  • Candidates having relatives (defined as brother, sister, mother, or father) working by FAO under any contract type are ineligible for the Internship Program.
