    Interns (Environmental Social and Climate Scientists)

    Job Description

    A risk management services firm with local and international service domains is seeking to recruit outstanding new graduates and undergraduates to support its environmental, social, and climate service activities and programs.

    The Intern will support the work of the firm, and work under the direct supervision of senior technical experts and managers in close consultation with project teams. The location of the job is Accra, Ghana.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Work with program teams to strategize on technical support service solutions and projects
    • Support project teams in developing innovative safeguard strategies for sustainable interventions
    • Conduct research to provide background information for ongoing projects and reports
    • Assist in field works of engaging stakeholders, and collecting and compiling vital project data
    • Support the organization, treatment, and reporting of scientific data and information
    • Contribute to the production and publication reports and knowledge management products
    • Conduct research for market analysis, new product development, and sales promotion.
    • Assist in project review meetings and take accurate notes and minutes
    • Provide coordination and administrative support to achieve the outputs of the company
    • Any other tasks required by the company

    Required Skills or Experience

    • Must have graduated with an undergraduate university degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Development Studies, Physical Sciences, Economics, Social Sciences, or Climate Studies.
    • Experience in University project work in an environment or climate studies will be an advantage
    • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills in English
    • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages;
    • Keen interest in pursuing a corporate career in the knowledge sector
    • Proactive (able to pro-actively undertake tasks that fall under TOR’s).
    • Team Player.
    • Excellent writing skills.
    • Quick learner.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Polite and outgoing
    • Good interpersonal skills
