Applications are open for Land is Life’s Indigenous Women’s Fellowship 2027. This year-long program supports Indigenous women leading change in their communities. Fellows design and run their own community-level rights project. Funding, mentorship, and training accompany fellows throughout the year.

About the Program
Land is Life unites Indigenous Peoples advancing self-determination worldwide. Its Indigenous Women’s Program has run since 2022 across three continents. Over fifteen women have already completed community projects through this fellowship. The program prioritizes women without a master’s or doctoral degree.
What Fellows Receive
Fellows get personalized mentoring from experienced Indigenous women leaders. Project funding of up to $3,000 supports their chosen community initiative. A separate $3,600 stipend supports full participation across the year. Fellows also join bimonthly trainings, networking, and advocacy opportunities.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be Indigenous women between 18 and 35 years old. Fluency in English, French, or Spanish is required for participation. Former Land is Life fellows cannot reapply to the program. Priority goes to women from countries not previously represented in the cohort.
Required Materials
Applicants complete the official online application form directly. A community project proposal, tied to the program’s core themes, is required. Applicants also need a recommendation letter from an Indigenous organization or leader.
