If submitted more than seventy-two hours before arrival, no QR code is required. However, submissions within seventy-two hours will generate a QR code for verification. The entire process is free and accessible to all international travelers.

Delhi Airport Sets the Transition Deadline

Indira Gandhi International Airport has confirmed the final transition timeline for this change. Paper arrival cards will only be accepted until March 31, 2026. From April 1, 2026, all travelers arriving in Delhi must use the digital system. This marks the end of the transition period introduced in late 2025. Other airports across India are expected to adopt similar measures soon.

How to Apply for the e-Arrival Card

The application process is simple and takes only a few minutes to complete online.

Travelers must visit the official portal or download the designated mobile application.
