In a live Facebook session, Kuami Eugene has bitterly stated that anyone who hates his latest “Open Gate” hit song but dance and jam to it anytime it’s played is under a curse.
The Ghanaian award winning artiste expressed his displeasure and personal reservation towards individuals he describes as haters who speak ill about every hit he makes.
To Kuami Eugene, it’s about time he addresses his haters and people who wickedly criticise his hard work but hypocritically enjoy what he does.
Kuami Eugene has somehow been ridiculed and criticized in every step he takes in his music career. While many believe he is not as good as he portrays, others also hold on to the view that his songs are not so great especially when he is known for sampling lines and verses from other songs to complement his.
Not only, he has come under severe criticism for winning the the ‘Artiste Of The Year” award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Many of his critics still do not understand how an artiste with a song that has a line as “wele-sɛbɛ-kontomire’ could win an award.
Kuami Eugen seems to have noticed this for sometime now and seems to be hurt by it. To that, he has clearly come out recently pouring out his honest thoughts and anger.
