Hub Manager At Recycle Up Ghana

Recycle Up Ghana (RUG) seeks to empower young Ghanaians to develop local solutions for environmental and societal problems while generating revenue at the same time. There is more than 1.2 million unemployed youth in Ghana, and we seek to bridge this gap by providing entrepreneurship education, mentoring, and support services to young industrious Ghanaians to start businesses that help solve societal challenges.

We have done this by organizing youth empowerment programs such as summer camps/schools and are now ready to scale up by launching a 6-month long incubator program. We are currently in search of a full-time staff who will serve as the Hub Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Designing, developing & managing Incubation programs
• Provide high-quality coaching and advisory support to entrepreneurs
• Supervise and manage hub daily operations, activities, and team members
• Develop and execute the strategy for outreach, hunting, attracting, and onboarding deserving and qualified innovative entrepreneurs, and start-ups for
• Provide support to entrepreneurs across ideation, acceleration, investment, and scale-up stage
• Ensure tight management of milestones and progress of entrepreneurs and start-up companies
• Provide continued strategic guidance to entrepreneurs in areas such as business modeling, sales, and marketing, fundraising, overall strategy, operations, etc.
• Any additional job assigned by the management within reasonable limits

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 3-years related experience (a higher degree is an advantage)
• Experience starting, owning, operating, and/or managing a small business is a plus.
• The candidate must possess adequate knowledge about the UN Sustainable Development
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders
• Have a passion for working with youth and have an understanding of the current situation for young people
• Have knowledge of local youth entrepreneurial opportunities and challenges
• Have good interpersonal, networking, representation, and negotiation skills
• Have strong verbal and writing skills required for extensive report writing
• Have financial management acumen, keeping budgets managing expenses, and cash handling experience
• Have good people management skills
• Have proven experience in leading and managing people and projects
• Have strong communications skills required for extensive report and proposal writing
• Have advanced experience and demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office suite, internet, and social media platform management
• Be a motivated self-starter with initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm
• Be a strategic thinker combined with a practical “can do” attitude with the ability to inspire others, especially the youth
• Possess strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Possess strong supervisory, organizational, and time management skills with precision to meet deadlines
• Be a team player with strong collaborative and team-building skills
• Should be flexible with time as you might be required from time to time to work longer hours to meet project deadlines. This time will be given back in lieu of agreement with your manager
• Must have a good command of English and at least 1 Ghanaian language preferably
