HOW WILL I ADAPT TO THE COLD WEATHER IN EUROPE
The difference in geographical locations on the earth comes with various conditions. High altitudes come along with oxygen level deficiency. The rainforests, as their name suggests, give the experience of frequent rainfalls throughout the year. The deserts are quite known for their conditions as well where many are not ready to build their home there. We have the savannah, polar, mangrove, and the like. All these geographical locations show how life is to go on through adaptation.
Countries, made up of geographical locations also, to some extent, shows how one is to adapt there in order to live. The sun in Africa is prominent as compared to how it is experienced in Europe. There are only two climate seasons in African countries along the tropic of cancer. These are the rainy season and the dry season. Along the tropic of Capricorn, the weather climate comes in four seasons a year. The spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
IN EUROPE
Europe is a continent, that has all of its countries in the tropic of Capricorn. Thus the four climatic seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter will be experienced in the European countries. The inhabitants of these countries have to adapt characteristics that range from biological to intelligence.
Of all the four climatic seasons of the tropic of Capricorn, the one that really calls for more adapting techniques is winter. This is when snow falls and the atmospheric temperature can reduce far below zero degrees Celsius.
That temperature can be very harmful to life and thus human beings. Though it is for a season, winter prevents a lot of farming activities and others. Animals as well find ways to survive the winter. The decrease in temperature causes water bodies to freeze on the surface to quite a thickness that allows people to walk on. It is known as the time of the cold.
HOW DO I ADAPT TO THE COLD WEATHER IN EUROPE
To begin with, Adapting to such a condition needs conscious preparations and considerations. The human body is to maintain a constant body temperature between 36 to 37 degrees Celsius. This temperature is achieved mostly by the internal activities of the human body.
Hence, when there is a drastic change in temperature outside the body, the body will, as it is designed to be, regulate itself to counter the external temperature to maintain the standard body temperature. Should the external temperature affects the body at a rate faster than the body can counter, it can be lethal to the person.
Secondly, the cold of winter is in the lethal category. This is where the behavior of the individual comes on to slow down or curb the effect of the external temperature.
I will adapt to the winter of Europe by wearing winter jackets and boots when I’m going out in the open.
Therefore, when Indoors, room heaters are necessary to keep the room warm. Fire at the hearth also helps to keep the room warm. Food to be eaten, I will mostly take them hot. I will drink much hot tea as a source of heat for my body.
