There are a number of reasons that causes people to decide to delete their social media account. It could be that you want your privacy, or the platform no longer serves your interest. Whatever your reasons, these are the steps to take to delete your Instagram, twitter, and Facebook accounts.

How To Delete Facebook

1 . Facebook gives you two ways of getting off the giant’s network. You can do that by either deactivating your account or deleting completely.

Deactivation gives you the option to restore your data after your sabbatical leave. This means the network will retain your data till you login to your account again.

To deactivate your Facebook account open the app
Click on settings a pop-up menu will appear
Select your Facebook information
From there Click on deactivation and deletion
Select deactivate account
Then hit the continue to deactivate the option to launch the process
Your password and reason for leaving the network will be asked
Make your choice and click continue to finish the process.

2 . The second option is deleting your account permanently. This means that Facebook cannot restore your data should you want a comeback. To delete the account follow these steps.

Click on settings a pop-up menu will appear
Select your Facebook information
From there Click on deactivation and deletion·
Select delete account
Then hit the continue to delete option to launch the process

You should know that once you do this there is no going back. It takes about 90days to delete your data

How to delete Twitter

If you have had enough of the hashtags and threads, you will need to first deactivate your account before getting rid of it permanently. To delete your account go to the twitter homepage, select the settings and privacy option, and then click on the deactivate account below the page.

Twitter gives you a Grace period of 30 days that will enable you to log into the site should you decide to change your mind. However, verified users get 12 months to make their final decisions.
