Job Duties

  • Manage and organize histology laboratory operations to support diagnostics, research, and teaching activities effectively.
  • Prepare and process tissue samples using standard histological techniques while consistently maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to support veterinary diagnostic services and laboratory-based research projects efficiently.
  • Support teaching laboratories by assisting with practical sessions and providing guidance to students.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and uphold best practices in laboratory management.
  • Oversee laboratory workflows to ensure efficient use of resources and the timely delivery of results consistently.
  • Assist in training undergraduate and postgraduate students in histological techniques and laboratory procedures.

Job Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in biomedical science, histopathology, or a related scientific discipline is required.
  • Experience working in a histology or laboratory environment with knowledge of tissue processing techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage laboratory operations and multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and support across diagnostics, research, and teaching activities.
