About Role

As a High Voltage Electrician, you will support critical utilities infrastructure across pharmaceutical operations, ensuring reliable power, instrumentation, and process systems. Your responsibilities will span high- and low-voltage electrical equipment, process instrumentation, and utility services such as steam, chilled water, compressed air, and high-purity water.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation issues, and support new installations, all while operating under strict safety and documentation standards. This role involves both scheduled weekday work and off-hours support for 24/7 equipment, with exposure to industrial environments requiring physical stamina and adherence to cGMP procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high- and low-voltage electrical systems
  • Maintain switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, motor starters, PLCs, and variable-speed drives
  • Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation failures to minimize downtime
  • Install and modify electrical systems, including conduit, conductors, and lighting
  • Calibrate and maintain process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, pH, conductivity, valves)
  • Interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics
  • Support utility systems, including steam, chilled water, compressed air, and water/sewer
  • Follow cGMP safety procedures and Good Documentation Practices
  • Assist across multiple crafts as operational needs require

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with medium/high voltage equipment and instrumentation systems
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in varying temperatures
  • Comfort working in confined or elevated spaces
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • CMMS experience is an advantage
  • Must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States
