Hidef Publication Limited is actively recruiting a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a visual communicator with a strong aesthetic sense and technical proficiency to contribute to diverse publishing projects. The role requires an on-site presence, and candidates must currently reside in or near the Ashaley Botwe or Madina areas of Accra.

About the Role

As our Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of our publications. You will translate concepts and written content into compelling visual designs that engage readers and uphold our brand standards. This hands-on position involves collaborating with the editorial and production teams to deliver high-quality layouts, covers, and marketing materials from concept to final print-ready files.

Key Responsibilities

While a comprehensive brief will be provided upon hiring, core duties will encompass:
Creating innovative and visually appealing layouts for books, magazines, and other publication materials.
Designing book covers, internal illustrations, infographics, and promotional assets that align with project themes and target audiences.
Preparing and finalizing print-ready files, ensuring all designs meet precise technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
Collaborating closely with editors, authors, and the marketing team to understand project requirements and visual objectives.
Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines within a fast-paced publishing environment.
Maintaining brand consistency across all designed materials while also exploring fresh, creative approaches.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Ideal candidates will possess a blend of formal training, practical experience, and innate creativity.
A minimum of two years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within publishing, media, or a related creative field.
A strong and diverse design portfolio that demonstrates originality, technical skill, and an understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to accept and incorporate constructive feedback.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential for effective collaboration.
Must reside in or near Ashaley Botwe or Madina to facilitate a seamless on-site working arrangement.

Location: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madina, Accra.
