HENNGE Global Internship Program 2027 in Japan

HENNGE invites students and early-career engineers worldwide to apply for its 2027 Global Internship Program (GIP) in Tokyo. This on-site software engineering training program offers a unique opportunity to strengthen your skills in an English-speaking environment at HENNGE’s headquarters. No Japanese language ability is required to participate.

Program Benefits

Selected interns receive comprehensive support throughout their placement. The program provides round-trip airfare to Tokyo, visa guidance and pre-arrival support, and a monthly subsidy of up to 150,000 JPY to cover accommodation, meals, and transportation. Additionally, interns receive a Japanese mobile phone with data, medical insurance for those residing outside Japan, and access to technical knowledge-sharing sessions and cultural events.

Choose Your Learning Path

The program offers two distinct pathways matching your career goals. The Front-End Pathway focuses on TypeScript and modern frameworks like React or Vue. The Full-Stack Pathway covers back-end, front-end, and basic DevOps using Python, Go, or TypeScript. Rather than production work, the program emphasises your growth in fundamental engineering, problem-solving, and collaboration through direct mentorship and hands-on training with AWS.

Program Schedule and Structure

HENNGE runs multiple batches throughout the year. Batch 1 runs from January 18 to February 19 (5 weeks), Batch 2 from June 1 to July 16 (7 weeks), and Batch 3 from August 2 to September 3 (7 weeks). Interns work Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM JST, communicating daily with mentors and peers. The program takes place on-site at HENNGE’s Tokyo office, and the company is relocating headquarters from Shibuya to Shinjuku in April 2027.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be third-year undergraduates or higher, including Master’s and PhD students, or recent graduates. You should be pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience from a tech internship or bootcamp. Fluency in English is essential, while Japanese is not required. Technical proficiency in Python, Go, or React/Vue in TypeScript is expected, along with knowledge of Linux, macOS, or Unix-like environments.

How to Apply

Submit your application through HENNGE’s career portal. Complete the coding challenge, which has no time limit, and submit your CV and cover letter. Shortlisted candidates will proceed to HR and final interviews. Outstanding participants may be offered full-time employment opportunities after the program.
