Job Title: HR Advisor 

Helios Towers is a leading independent company for telecommunications infrastructure. It has built up one of Africa’s largest portfolios of towers. It builds, owns, and runs telecom passive infrastructure, which mobile network operators use to get services. Helios Towers works in 8 markets in Africa and Oman in the Middle East at the moment.

We want a hard-working and energetic HR Advisor to join the Ghana Team. This person will be in charge of making sure that the best practices are used for hiring and keeping employees, as well as for general HR services and the effective management of the employee life cycle. They will also be in charge of making sure that policies are consistent and that HR questions are answered quickly and reliably. He or she is also in charge of making sure that the Fleet and hired drivers are managed well.

Role Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will be:

  • Responsible for general HR inquiries.
  • Taking care of different HR questions from around the company. Reviewing and updating job descriptions.
  • Advising managers on strategies for hiring and picking people
  • Training hiring managers on how to evaluate candidates in interviews
  • Helping to create and run recruitment campaigns
  • Organizing the process of hiring and starting work for those who are chosen
  • Keeping an eye on key hiring metrics like turnover and retention rates
  • Giving advice and playing a big part in work reviews and change processes
  • Using HR information systems (SuccessFactors) to access, enter, and compile data. Identifying development needs for each year and using internal and external resources to provide needed training.
  • Responsible for all parts of the hiring process, including putting up ads, making a short list of candidates, setting up interviews, checking references, and giving advice on the hiring and selection process.
  • Managing relationships with staff, answering their questions or solving problems, and managing their expectations.
  • Keeping track of, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and making sure they are in line with current laws.
  • Helping the HR manager with different investigations, such as grievance and disciplinary ones, is part of their job.

Requirements for the Role

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • 5 or more years of experience in HR or a related field. HR professional membership or related certification.
  • Governance of the company in HRM
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as other Microsoft Office programs.
