Allenby Douglas Ltd is hiring Health & Social Carers in Croesoswallt (Oswestry), England, United Kingdom, for 2026. This is a Skilled Worker-level care role, offering an hourly pay starting from £13.27 per hour.

The company is expanding its team as it celebrates 25 years of service and is looking for compassionate, reliable, and committed individuals to provide high-quality care to people in their own homes. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, including evenings, weekends, and night shifts (sleep or wake).

About Role

As a Health & Social Carer, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them live independently, safely, and with dignity. This is a highly rewarding, community-based role that involves personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, and help with daily activities. You will travel between clients in the local area, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car are mandatory.

Your work schedule will include every other weekend, and you may also choose to work evenings, weekends only, or night shifts, depending on availability and preference. Full training is provided, so previous care experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
Support clients with medication, meals, and mobility
Offer companionship and emotional support
Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, and outings when needed
Promote independence, dignity, and overall well-being
Carry out light domestic tasks in clients’ homes
Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns
Travel to client homes across the local area

Requirements

Must already have the legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
Must be available to work every other weekend
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own car (required)
Caring, compassionate, and reliable personality
Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility
Ability to pass required checks and follow care standards
Experience in care is an advantage, but full training is provided
