Head of Growth at Affinity Ghana

Affinity Ghana is looking to hire a Head of Growth.

Job Summary:

As Head of Growth, it’s your job to manage and protect the Affinity brand across all channels, putting our customers first (brand, design, advertising, and comms). You will be in charge of and in charge of coordinating the official launch of Affinity in Ghana.

Moreover, You will do this by building a team for in-house campaigns, finding and managing external marketing and design agencies as needed, and working with senior management. You will be devising, implementing, measuring, and refining these goals and will need to understand our business and our customers.

The job is both creative and analytical, requiring research, overseeing branding and messaging, running campaigns and creating content, and keeping track of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop Affinity’s go-to-market strategy, including branding and positioning, content, and digital marketing efforts, as well as the launch of physical, digital, and agent-led presences to get and keep key customers and make sure the launch goes well.
  • Oversee and help with campaign planning, production, and delivery, making sure that activities above and below the line are done on time, well, and with a good strategy.
  • Work very closely with external agencies and other contracted third parties, and grow the marketing team over time as needed
  • Report on all marketing activities, using deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, making changes, improving strategy, and reviewing as needed.
  • Work with the Product and Sales teams to learn about customer journeys and how to include key lessons in our marketing strategy.
  • Create, implement, and track KPIs for all ATL and BTL marketing campaigns
  • Maintain and grow your presence on key digital platforms, such as your website, social media channels, blog, and so on.
  • Quality control and consistency in making brand assets across all departments/lines, internal communications, staff, and all external marketing activities
  • Copywriting and management of key stakeholder communications, such as press releases, partnership engagement, social media platforms, and digital platforms.
  • Make sure all customer touchpoints, such as digital media, the contact center and agent scripts, paid media, the press, physical locations, etc., have relevant and consistent messages.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience figuring out who your target audience is and coming up with and leading creative marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate people across multiple channels.
  • Solid knowledge of tools for digital analytics and performance marketing (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Number-savvy and able to use numbers to understand metrics and processes
  • A strong sense of style and a love for good writing, good story-telling skills, and good oral and written communication skills.
    up-to-date on the latest marketing and measurement trends and best practices
  • A lot of knowledge about both online and offline channels
  • Strategically minded, with a clear vision and strong skills to carry it out
  • Experience in finance, retail banking, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or technology is a plus.
  • Understanding of MS Office, design, and productivity tools
  • A growth mindset is the ability to test and tweak strategies to increase activation across the funnel and use product features and marketing tactics to drive continued growth.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to drive performance in an effective and efficient way

Education and training 

  • Degree from a college or university in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Over five years of experience as a senior marketer, preferably with digital experience.
