As the Head Chef, you will lead our kitchen team and create exceptional dining experiences for our residents. Your primary focus will be on designing innovative, seasonal menus while ensuring high standards for food safety and hygiene. This permanent, full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Job Duties

In your role as Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

Leading, mentoring, and inspiring kitchen staff to produce nutritious and delicious meals.
Designing creative, seasonal menus that cater to residents’ diverse tastes and dietary needs.
Ensuring compliance with food safety standards and maintaining hygienic kitchen practices.
Managing kitchen budgets effectively, including stock control and ordering supplies.
Creating a dining experience that enhances residents’ quality of life and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
Possess proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role.
Have a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate for safe kitchen management.
Demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence and a genuine commitment to aged care.
Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and financial management abilities.
Be willing to undergo pre-employment medical checks, police checks, and NDIS Worker Screening.
