Good News!! Alberta New Program for PR 2024 | Canada PR

Canada is still a popular destination for people from across the world looking for chances to become permanent residents, and Alberta has just opened an appealing avenue for these people to consider. This article explores the specifics of Alberta’s Advantage Program, including qualifying requirements, the application procedure, and useful advice for increasing your chances of being accepted.

Alberta’s Advantage Program

The Alberta Advantage Program is a noteworthy avenue for obtaining permanent residence in Canada, with multiple streams designed to accommodate varying applicant types. In comparison to other provinces, it seeks to expedite the application procedure and deliver results more quickly.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) was the previous name of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). This is an Alberta-specific provincial nominee program (PNP). The program’s goal is to draw in qualified immigrants who can either buy or start a business in Alberta or who can fill job shortages in the province.

If you are selected, you, your spouse or common-law partner, and your dependent children may apply for permanent residence together. Both the Canadian federal government and the province of Alberta oversee the initiative.

Overview of the 3 Streams for Foreign Workers

The AAIP offers three streams for international workers who either now reside in Alberta or intend to do so. Let’s examine each one in more detail.

1. Alberta Opportunity Stream

Candidates who meet the requirements, who currently reside and work in Alberta, and who have a formal job offer from their employer to continue working full-time in the province are eligible to apply for the Alberta Opportunity Stream. Additional qualifications for qualifying include education, language ability, and work experience.

2. Alberta Express Entry Stream

Through the Alberta Express Entry stream, the province can extend an invitation to individuals who match the minimal standards and other selection variables, such as the province’s economic, sector, and occupational priorities, and who have current profiles in the federal Express Entry pool.

Stated differently, the province will propose candidates based on its requirements. For instance, this stream offers specialized courses for individuals working in the technology and healthcare industries.

With the potential to add 600 more points to your Federal Express Entry profile should your candidacy be accepted, this Provincial Nominee Program may be a great fit for you. It is worthwhile to look at other choices, such as the Alberta Express Entry Stream, given the present high draws within the Express Entry program.

3. Rural Renewal Stream

The goal of the Rural Renewal Steam is to supply Alberta’s rural towns with the trained labor they need. Immigration and foreign laborers entering Canada need the assistance and endorsement of an Albertan company as well as the local community.

AAIP New Rules, Requirements & Eligibility

For skilled people who want to live and work in Alberta, Canada, there is a pathway called the AAIP. In this blog, we examine the requirements for eligibility and offer helpful advice on how to apply with ease.

For temporary foreign workers who are already employed full-time in Alberta, there is the Alberta Opportunity Stream of the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program. In February 2022, Alberta changed the name of the PNP to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). Formerly known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AAIP)

Out of the 5,393 nominations allotted for 2024, AAIP has so far issued 2,245 nominations in total. According to the most current AAIP update, 430 applications will be accepted for the June 11 application intake for the Alberta Opportunity Stream. After 430 applications are received, the stream will close until its next planned intake date of July 9, at which point it will accept 444 applications.

As of right now, 3,659 applications are being processed by AAIP, which is evaluating applications submitted before October 26, 2023.

Language Requirements

You must provide proof that you passed the following language tests in either French or English when you submit your application. Based on a single test result, you must receive the necessary points at the time of application filing. The formal test results ought to be no older than two years.

The age of your test results is determined by the date you took the exam, not the date your results were sent. The app won’t take a language exam enrollment confirmation instead of a test score.

Eligible Occupations

You must be employed in an eligible profession in Alberta at the time your application is reviewed, and at the time you submit it. Both a job offer and your prior work experience are subject to the occupation requirements. Postgraduation Work Permit Holders

In Alberta, if you hold a Post-Graduation Work Permit, your employment must be related to your academic program. If starting on April 1, 2019, you enrolled in an Alberta credential program and completed a one-year post-diploma or post-bachelorette certificate approved by the Advanced Education Board, then your occupation must also be relevant to your previous postsecondary field of a study conducted outside of Canada.
