GHANA COLLEGE OF PHARMACISTS ADMISSION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Pharmacists for admission to programmes of the Ghana College of Pharmacists for 2022/2023 academic year.

MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMME

GOAL OF THE PROGRAMME

The main goal of the programme is to make candidates Specialists in their chosen area of practice in relevant pharmaceutical and related sciences.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The minimum admission requirements are as follows:

  1. Firstly, The candidate should have basic pharmacy qualification from a recognised institution.
  2. Secondly, The candidate should have undertaken pharmacy internship training and successfully passed the Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination (GPPQE)
  3. Thirdly, The candidate must be a Registered Pharmacist who has practised for a minimum of three (3) years post registration.
  4. Lastly, For PharmD holders a minimum of two (2) years post registration is required.

FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME

GOAL OF THE PROGRAMME

Note that the goal of the programme is to hone the skills of candidates in their chosen areas of Specialisation with extensive exposure and experience. On completion, candidates will be experts in their chosen fields.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FELLOWSHIP CANDIDATES

The minimum admission requirements are as follows:

  1. To begin with, The candidate should have undertaken pharmacy internship training and successfully passed the Ghana) Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Examination (GPPQE)
  2. Afterwards, The candidate should have Membership or equivalent qualification from a recognised postgraduate specialist pharmacy training institution.
  3. Finally, The candidate should have practised for a minimum of one (1) year after obtaining Membership qualification.

SPECIALTY DIVISIONS

The following specialty divisions are currently available for training at the College:

Division of Pharmaceutical Care

  • Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy
  • Then, Faculty of Community and Family Practice Pharmacy

Division of Pharmaceutical Production and Quality Assurance

  • Faculty of Drug and Herbal Medicine Production
  • And also Faculty of Quality Assurance
