What You Will Work On 

As a doctoral candidate in this initiative, you will:

  • Describe the characteristics of laser beam formations, such as radial group delay (RGD) and spatiotemporal coupling (STC).
  • Create optical elements (e.g., doublet lenses and axi-parabolas)
  • Conduct laser wakefield acceleration experiments utilizing sophisticated “flying focus” laser configurations.
  • Examine experimental findings and share your research in academic journals and global conferences.

Eligibility Requirements

You are urged to submit your application if you satisfy the following requirements:

  • Possess a Master’s or Diploma in Physics or a relevant discipline.
  • Possess an understanding of nonlinear optics, laser science, or photonics.
  • Hands-on experience in any of the following areas is advantageous:
  • Femtosecond laser systems and their diagnostics
  • High-power laser configurations and ultrahigh vacuum systems
  • Coding abilities (LabVIEW, Python)
  • Outstanding English communication abilities (German is an advantage)
  • Capacity to work together in interdisciplinary and multicultural research groups.
