National Scholarship Program 2025 in Slovakia Eligibility Requirements

  • Available to all global students from across the globe.
  • Must be university students registered at institutions outside of Slovakia.
  • Master’s Students: Qualified if they are presently in the second tier of higher education (Master’s programs).
  • Undergraduate Students: Eligible if they have finished a minimum of 2.5 years of their university coursework in the same degree program by the application due date.
  • This scholarship does not include full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctoral degree programs.
  • Designed for brief study or research periods, not for completing an entire degree.
  • Candidates are required to possess an invitation or acceptance to pursue study or research at a higher education institution or research organization in Slovakia.
  • A comprehensive research proposal must be provided, detailing the goals and advantages of the visit to Slovakia.
  • University instructors, scholars, and artists lacking a PhD should possess under 4 years of professional experience.
  • Individuals holding a PhD must fall into one of two groups: under 10 years or over 10 years of work experience.
  • Fluency in the language used for instruction or research (usually Slovak or English) is necessary.
  • Must fulfill particular criteria established by the Slovak institution or organization.
  • Former scholarship recipients need to demonstrate considerable academic or career advancement to be reconsidered.

Benefits of the National Scholarship Program 2025 

Monetary Assistance for Daily Expenses:

  • University students: 650 € per month
  • PhD students: 1,025.50 € per month
  • University teachers, researchers, artists:
    • No PhD and under 4 years of experience: 734 € monthly.
    • Possessing a PhD and having under 10 years of experience: 980 € per month.
    • Holding a PhD and over a decade of experience: 1,050 € monthly.
