Applications are open for international students to submit their applications for the 2023 Central South University Scholarship in China. Students who are seeking to pursue Master’s, Undergraduate, or Ph.D. degree programs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Central South University in China is offering both Full Free Scholarships and Partial Scholarships for International Students for the academic year 2023-24. The following costs will be covered by the scholarships:

Fully Funded 2023/24 Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship (UK)

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following requirements must be satisfied before submitting an online application for the Central South University Scholarship in China:

• They must be non-Chinese citizens with a clean criminal record and in good health.
• For Bachelor’s degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old and hold a high school degree or equivalent. For Master’s degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. For Doctoral degree programs, applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old and hold a Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Language proficiency requirements vary depending on the language of instruction. For Chinese-taught programs, applicants must obtain a minimum score of 260 in HSK4 for non-medical programs and 200 for medical programs. For programs where English is taught, candidates must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6 or a TOEFL score of 85.

In order to start their studies, candidates who don’t meet the Chinese proficiency standards must finish a one-year preparatory course in the language and pass all relevant tests. However, some applicants may be exempt from proving their linguistic competence based on certain conditions.

• Postgraduate applicants must exhibit a solid academic background and research capabilities.
• Some programs may have additional admission requirements that must be met before applying. Applicants can refer to the 2023 Program Catalog for further details.

Fully Funded Italian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students (2023–24)

Application Process:

Application online in Step 1

• Log in to the School of International Education, CSU website, and fill in the application form.
• Click on the admission-online application or APPLY NOW to submit the application.

Step 2: Initial Evaluation and Payment of Application Fees

• A preliminary evaluation of the applicant’s identity, language proficiency, and physical and mental health will be done by the School of International Education.
• After passing the preliminary review, step two is to pay the CNY 500 application fee via CSU’s unified payment platform.
• Application fee payment must be completed within two weeks, or the application will not continue.

Step 3: Academic Review

• Relevant schools will conduct an academic review to examine the applicant’s academic background, scientific research ability, or innovation potential.

Step 4: Result Release

• Based on the application and review, the final admission result will be issued by admission email.
• The final financial support is subject to the admission notice received.

Yearly Review

• Scholarship recipients will take part in an annual evaluation based on their performance in class and on a daily basis during the previous academic year.
• Students will continue to enjoy the scholarship after passing the review, or the scholarship will be suspended/terminated.
