FULL PROFILE || WHO IS LAWYER JUSTIN FRIMPONG KODUA?

INTRODUCTION

Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua is a young lawyer by profession. He was born on the 14th of November, 1982 in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Currently, he is 40 years old. He has also been crowned the winner of General Secretary for NPP with 2, 837 votes. Below is a brief but relevant detail or profile of Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua. 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua attended his secondary level of education at Opoku Ware Senior High School in Kumasi, Ashanti Region of Ghana. He further studied to obtain a City and Guilds Certificate in Information Communications Technology at the Hackney Community College, located in London, the United Kingdom.

He then later relocated to his homeland,  Ghana, and furthered his education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Justin Frimpong Kodua first obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Economy and completed it in the year 2002. Then he proceeded to read law and was later granted admission into the Ghana School of Law, from where he was called to the Bar.

Aside from these two certificates he holds, Lawyer Kodua also holds a Diploma Certificate in Financial Management which he acquired from the Institute of Commercial Management located in Bournemouth in the UK.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Layer Justin Frimpong Kodua is a lawyer who specializes in corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration. He also has an interest in settling land disputes as well as managing other assets.

In February 2017, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) by the president. His role is to lead the drive in addressing the Youth unemployment situation in Ghana. He is the longest serving CEO of YEA such that he has created more than 170 thousand jobs, as well as helped transform the agency to be void of corruption.

Currently,  he has been elected as the General Secretary of NPP, after the General elections held on Saturday,  16th July at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Moreso, Lawyer Kodua has worked with other learned colleagues where they conducted several pieces of research and prepared legal documents as well as handling litigation. Earlier in 2008, he worked for Jo-Mint and Associates as a National Service Personnel.

As part of his duties, he was responsible for managing safety hazards and monitoring the progress of construction projects. He also has diverse working experience not only in Ghana but also abroad. Abroad, specifically in the UK, he was the former employee of Supersport Limited.

Through the experience he gained there, he played a very instrumental role in the organization of CAN 2008 hosted in Ghana.

Additionally, Lawyer Kodua, as part of his experiences, was a former Chief Operations Officer of Sensornet Limited. This is an indigenous organization and there, he helped to design business strategy plans and other procedures for the business. He also helped in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company as a whole.

POLITICAL BACKGROUND

Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua has been a diligent supporter of the New Patriotic Party. He has earnestly and diligently served the party at varying levels and in different capacities. He first served as a member of the Ashanti Regional Campaign Team in 2008, and he is still a member of this team. Here, he had the opportunity to lead the team of electoral results collators in that particular region.

In 2010, he also became the Deputy Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser for NPP. In 2020, he also served as the Chairman of the Strategic Communications Committee of the Ashanti Region NPP, towards the general elections. Again, he served as a member of the V20 Team and help facilitate training programs across the country.

As part of his achievements, Lawyer Kodua, with the help of other team members,  restructured and made all three Ashanti Regional branches of TESCON very attractive. He has also been extremely instrumental in helping to mobilize the grassroots. This manifested in NPP’s historic victory in the 2016 General Elections.  He also ensures the promulgation of TESCON when he was serving as the Chairman of the Legal Committee of the National Youth Wing.

Right from Lawyer Kodua’s political career and profession, there is no doubt that Lawyer Kodua is indeed one of a kind He has received many accolades because of his willingness to help others, his empathy, generosity, charisma, optimism in times of challenges, and his altruistic nature. I believe his role has earned him a lot such that he continues to be an exceptional role model to most youths in the New Patriotic Party. His geniality and foresight make him an ideal person to take up any leadership role.
