ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Materials Handling Supervisor is accountable for coordinating the work, its training, monitoring and control of quality, of maintenance technicians on conveyors and materials handling systems in safe manner, compliant with operational and engineering policies, standards, systems and procedures to maximise plant availability in a compliant, safe, sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

2. Mechanical Technician – Material Handling
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Mechanical Technician – Material Handling is accountable for executing all tasked maintenance work on underground/Surface conveyor systems (shift -3, regular-3), safely, in accordance with other compliance requirements, operational and standards, systems and procedures to maximise plant availability in a compliant, safe, sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

The Pump Mechanical Technician is accountable for the execution of maintenance work orders on the Dewatering pumps after refurbishment in the transition to operations, through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximize plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

4. Engineering Superintendent – Pastefill & Material Handling
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Engineering Superintendent – Pastefill and Material Handling is accountable for the development and implementation
of Material Handling plants (Conveyors-underground and near shaft banks, Crushers and Chutes) and equipment and Pastefill Plant Maintenance and minor projects through the application of operational engineering policies, standards, systems and procedures to maximise plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
To perform Rigging and Lifting duties within the standards as prescribed by AngloGold Ashanti and work within the guidance of legislation towards compliance. Maintain a standard of excellence throughout the operations and promote a safety culture maintaining fundamental results and delivery of practices. Accountable for the safe and effective load displacement and people in and around the practice. Ensure safe inspection and maintenance of lifting and rigging equipment at Anglo Gold Ashanti work site.
