Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated he is going to give out laptops to tertiary students via the John Dumelo foundation.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency Parliamentary candidate has revealed to the public that he is going to give over 4000 free laptops to tertiary students in the constituency.
Mr Dumelo believes that this gesture will improve access to online learning for tertiary students and hopes he can reach out to more students. He further asserted that he believes in quality education which is the cause of his new initiative.
“From September, 2020, our plan is to give out over 4000 free laptops to students. In the constituency.
I believe in quality education,
I am convinced that this gesture will improve access to online learning for tertiary students. Our hope is that, through the support of everyone, we can reach out to many more students,” he stated.
