France Visa Online Application Platform to be Unavailable
France-Visas’ online application portal will be down for maintenance from May 26–28. India and Nepalese visa applicants should apply online early to prevent delays caused by offline forms. Learn more.
VSF Global, which provides outsourcing and technology services to governments and diplomatic missions worldwide, informed on its website that the France Visa online application platform will be down from Friday, May 26, to Sunday, May 28, 2023, for technical and legal reasons.
Visa applicants should be aware that they can’t fill out their applications on France-Visas during that time.
Impacted Areas: India and Nepal
VFS Global informed the affected areas and gave visa applicants in India and Nepal, where VFS collects applications, alternate options.
Applicants will be accepted starting Monday, May 29, 2023, in Nepal and Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in India (except for Monday, May 29, a public holiday in India).
However, the service provider will fill out applications that couldn’t be filled out online, which may delay processing.
Early Online Application Encouraged
Visa applicants should apply online before May 26, 2023, to prevent issues when the France-Visas platform is down.
The French government regrets any disruption caused by this temporary move. And that technical and regulatory difficulties are being resolved promptly and that enhanced application handling will benefit all applicants.
For updates, applicants should visit France-Visas or contact consular services.
