About Role

Responsibilities

Serve as the university’s competent person for fire safety and primary contact for fire safety advice
Develop and implement the institution’s Fire Safety Management System
Conduct fire risk assessments and support departments in resolving identified risks
Provide expert guidance on fire safety in new building developments and refurbishment projects
Carry out fire safety audits to monitor compliance and identify improvement opportunities
Deliver fire safety training programmes for staff and stakeholders across campus
Collaborate with estates teams and external regulatory authorities on safety compliance

Requirements

Significant experience advising on fire safety in complex buildings, including high-rise or residential facilities
Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and related health and safety regulations
