The Ministry of Finance in an official release refers to a letter no. TA.315/330/01 from the Ministry of Sanitation Water Resources on the above headline.
2. Financial Clearance is hereby the Hon. Minister and Water Resource to enable the Ministry recruit one thousand, one hundred and seventy-four (1,174) Environmental Health Officers/Assistants for the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.
3. Approval has been granted for the emolutments of the one thousand, one hundred and seventy-four (1,174) staff to be charged against the Compensation of Employees vote of the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resource budget in the 2020 annual estimate.
3. The effective date of the appointment is as follows:

5. By a copy of the letter, the Controller and Accountant General is requested to effect of their salaries with effect from the date of assumption of duty and make appropriate deductions of Social Security and income tax to SSNIT and Domestic Tax Revenue Division of the Ghana Revenue (GRA) respectively.
