Position Summary

The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing manufacturing activities. To guarantee effective production procedures and maintain superior standards, this role calls for a dedicated professional with outstanding leadership abilities.

As instructed by the department manager, this position entails supervising team members on the production line throughout shifts and guaranteeing the availability of production resources (manufacturing or packaging materials and labor).

Responsibilities:

Availability of Resources:

  • Optimize the labor force, machines, materials, and methods of production daily. Give the production manager the information they need to manage single or double shifts.
  • Manage inventories inside the designated area (packaging) and oversee all production steps therein.

Production Scheduling and Handover of Shift:

  • Participate in the scheduling of manufacturing line operations.
  • Assist Team Leaders and the Local Planning Department with in-process quantity adjustments.
  • In conjunction with the Packaging Component Providers and the Quality Department, oversee changeover operations.
  • Finish all shift handover responsibilities and assist Team Leaders in conveying important details and concerns.
  • Gather and update team leader data (volumes, hours, and bonuses) for the daily production sheet.

Constant Enhancement:

  • Determine and suggest projects for ongoing improvement.
  • Work together to design and implement strategies for continuous improvement with the UGP Manager and SSP Function.

Occupational Safety:

  • Make sure that the designated production space complies with all health and safety laws.
  • Report all incidents and accidents related to health and safety.

Management of Human Resources:

  • Handle employee concerns following business policies, notifying HR and the UGP Manager as necessary.
  • With the Team Leader’s assistance, handle line accidents (first aid, reporting, investigation) by corporate policies.

Upkeep:

  • When there are malfunctions or repairs, minimize line disruption by collaborating closely with the maintenance crew.
  • In important process areas, support the implementation and observance of the Environmental Management System.

Qualifications:

The perfect applicant will have:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing lines, equipment, and KPIs for production.
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Familiarity with production models, planning procedures, and stock management.
  • Familiarity with techniques for production performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of the regulations governing food safety, quality, and sanitation.
  • Comprehension of the production KPIs.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities in a multicultural setting.
  • Capacity to favorably and proactively lead manufacturing workers.
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • The capacity to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Abilities to foster teamwork.
  • Understanding of the scheduling of production.
  • Abilities in human resource management.
  • The capacity to work a full night shift with little supervision.
  • Proficiency with the Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs in Microsoft Office.

Minimum Conditions:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership capacity (team leader, supervisor, or manager).
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to operate within a matrix framework.
  • Demonstrated capacity to constructively and proactively manage production staff.
